Man Face Life Sentence for Stealing $0.50 Pack of Donuts

The man in the video clip below faces a possible life sentence in prison for stealing a $0.50 pack of donuts, which he thought were paid for. Sometimes I wonder, would the group, F.A.C.T.S. help if the accused were a Black man? As many of us know, California has that controversial Three Strikes Law, which many thought would only be applied towards violent felonies. California, the prison capital of the world has a budget gap of over $46 billion to fill. Now it costs over $90,000 per year to maintain one prisoner in the prison system, but costs less than $2,000 per year to educate one person and less than $1,300 per year per person for crime prevention programs. What makes more sense? You do the math.
