Posted Poetry

Following is some of my poetry from the Militant Black Rhymes Collection. I will be posting more in the near future. As for my new material, I will not be posting any of that right now. My plan is to release Warrior On The Rooftop: A Tribute to Mark Essex in the middle of February. It's not going to be like the perfect bound books that you find in bookstores and libraries; oh Hell No! It's going to be straight grassroots and when I say grassroots, I mean put together as is.

My next publication is not going to have a glossy cover or carry the name of some big publishing company. That's grassroots! My next work is coming straight from the heart; untouched, uncorrupted and uncompromising. Warrior On The Rooftop will be on the offensive and guaranteed to piss off many people. Keep on the look out for this one, which will cost you $5.00 of course. As the release date gets closer, I will give more details about the Warrior On The Rooftop. 2006 will definately be a year to remember.

State of Dis-Union Address

The Democrats certainly upstaged Bush tonight. When he spoke of Congress' failure to pass the Social Security reform bill, the Democrats gave a standing ovation. It was clear that Bush was rattled; you could clearly see it in his face. I just love it. Bush spoke of imposing democracy on the world. He also spoke of spying in America. Overall, he spoke a bunch of bullshit and doublespeak. That's what we should expect from this president, who is a gangster, a murderer, a rapist, a drunk, a drug addict and a terrorist. He needs to take his medication and go back to Crawford, Texas.

Damn, he got the nerve to bring up New Orleans. The city he abandoned because he had better things to do, like tend to his vacation and play his guitar. What a bunch of balony!!!

Lazy/Why Are You Here Coworkers

I can't stand lazy coworkers. I can't stand fellow employees who just sit on their asses all day and get paid for doing nothing. Sure they send emails and bitch about what is wrong, but never offer to come down into the trenches and help out. They never volunteer to help out, but they always volunteer to criticize and "make changes" to the process.

I don't know about you, but what is the point of going to meetings to discuss the same problems that were discussed the last 2 years? Nothing is done to resolve the problems. Where I work, it's just an utter disgrace. The big wigs who are making all the money don't know how many contracts the company has nor do they know the performance guarantees of those contracts. What the hell kind of company is this. If the businesses really knew how incompetent the people are in the company I work for, then they would terminate their contracts immediately. Unless the people who awarded the contracts are morons themselves.

Sometimes, don't it just burn you up when you see people who do nothing get rewarded; get praised. They take the credit for work that they did not do. I just want to see them fall flat on their faces. I want the auditors to come in and then I want to see all the big wigs panic. I want them to suffer as they have caused the suffering of many. When they're afflicted, they got just what they deserved.

Impeach This Idiot

Wow! What does it take? Bush lied about 9/11. Bush lied to get America into a war with Iraq. Now Bush authorized NSA spying on the American people without getting a warrant from the courts. What next? The Bush Crime Family are gangsters and they run the government of the United States. It's that simple. Former President Bill Clinton lied about getting a blow job from a "whore" house intern and articles of impeachment were drawn up against him. Bush has done much much worse and it is simply blown up under the rug.

We really see how democracy works. If you have the money, you get the benefits of democracy. But democracy for the little guy is an illusion, a fantasy. Why don't they just be real with it and say, "We don't give a damn about you. It's about the rich getting what they want and that's the bottom line!" Hell, at least they're being honest with it and not a bunch of hypocrites.

But we all know that fuhrer Bush will continue to remain in power at the behest of his cronies and his bosses. Democracy is dead, or at least what the people thought was democracy. Stick to the illusion that Bush will bring prosperity and peace to the world. Bush will go down in history as the man who hepled to lead America to her downfall.

'ALL THE NEWS....?'

==================
[Col. Writ. 12/1/05] Copyright '05 Mumia Abu-Jamal

In the wake of this wretched war, we have more than enough reason to look, with jaundiced eye, at the American major media.

The adjectives that have been used to describe their performance, in the face of fake 'evidence', scare tactics, and global state terrorism against the poor and the weak; and their abject servitude to the centers of political and economic power, have been terms like supine, servile, and genuflective.

The corporate media became an instrument through which the White House worked its way upon the public, threatening dissidents, locking up innocents, threatening other countries, all in pursuance of madness. The media, afraid of alienating its audiences, and more importantly, of upsetting government officials, opened its pages, its airwaves, and its microphones, serving only as amplifiers for the State.

Few mainstream papers have the heft and influence of the *New York Times*, yet, even there, their star reporter became little more than a stenographer for the neocons at the highest levels of power. They served, not the interest of their readers, nor their children, but of power.

Remember the spectacle of a vampirish Vice President Dick Cheney, citing the *Times*, of all sources, in support of his claims of WMDs? Now, trapped by the very real threat of Civil War, US politicians find themselves pinned to the wall, like monarch butterflies, forced to support the unsupportable. Now, comes word of secret prisons, in the lands of the former Soviet Union, run by the CIA, where God knows what is being done to people, in the name of a nebulous 'war on terror.'

Does anybody really believe that American forces aren't engaged in torture? The new US-appointed regime in Iraq has learned well the lessons of its American paymasters. In the shadow of Abu Ghraib, dozens of Sunnis are tortured, and caged in secret prisons! What, pray tell, are the Americans to say? "Don't do as we do?"

We've virtually forgotten the case of Chinese-American Muslim chaplain, James Yee. New Jersey-born, a West Point graduate, it was during his former tour in Saudi Arabia that he learned about Islam, where he was intrigued by the cultural diversity. For complaining about the treatment that he saw and heard at Guantanamo Bay naval station, he found himself labeled, and soon treated, as an "enemy combatant", charged with espionage, and called a "known terrorist sympathizer."

He was put in the 'three-piece suit': shackled hands, feet, and belly. He was thrown into solitary confinement (See his book: *For God and Country: Faith and Patriotism Under Fire*, by James Yee (with Aimee Molloy) (publ., Political Affairs).) He was in solitary for 76 days, before charges were dropped.

All of this comes back to the role of the press. It either serves the interests of freedom, or it serves the interests of Empire. It can't serve both. It is doing the reporting now, that should've been done before the outbreak of war. Most reporters knew that there was absolutely no link between 9/11 and Iraq. Most reporters knew, if they'd done their research, that there was absolutely no connection between Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden. Yet, through fear or the ingrained instinct to serve power, they allowed the Bush Regime to 'let slip the dogs of war.'

Unless I miss my guess, it will be plenty of years before we really see the end of this adventure. That's because it will be many years before things will even begin to quiet down in Iraq. Perhaps 100,000 Iraqis have been killed, many by the US Army and Air Forces. Over 2,000 Americans have died. Billions of dollars have been wasted, or ripped off by corrupt Iraqi politicians, or American corporations. And Americans have done little more than stoked the fires of anti-American hatred throughout the region. Recently, the Muslim Brotherhood, a staunch opponent of the Mubarak Regime in Egypt, won over five times their previous seats in Parliament. Islamicist parties are stronger than ever in the Muslim world, largely as a direct reaction to the US invasion of Iraq.

The media could've prevented much of this, if it only had done its job.

Mumia Abu-Jamal

He is a man that I really admire; he's a genius! He's brilliant. His incarceration and sitting on death row has nothing to do with killing a cop. He didn't do it!!! Brother Mumia is a true Black Revolutionary. I will post some of his witings because they are critical in this day and age. What Mumia writes speaks for itself. So get ready for the ride. In Free Speech Blazing, I post the stuff that the majority don't like.

New Year's Expectations

We have finally reached the year 2006 and I see this as a great year for socially conscious and revolutionary hip hop. All that other garbage that we hear on the radio will continue, but there will be more yearning for music that has substance, creativity and originality. That sexist and materialistic gangsta garbage has got to go. The days of ignorance being rewarded must cease. It's time for the Old School to bring back discipline and order.

Outside of that, there will be more Bush administration scandals being exposed. How many crimes do a president have to be caught up in before his ass gets impeached? From lying to take a this country to war against Iraq to spying on American citizens without even getting a warrant from the courts, what the hell does it take? I believe 2006 will also be a year where the U.S. will work to be more totalitarian like the Nazi's Third Reich. Fascism is alive and well in America.

In addition, Bush should be impeached for the way he let all those people die in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. That was systematic genocide which took place down in New Orleans. I do believe that FEMA breached the levee which flooded the 9th ward.

On a more positive note, doing for self will be rewarded for those of our people who are going to sever the ties with the devil. For whitey, 2006 will be a horribly tragic year for them. The devil is going to suffer great loss and pain.
