This is an issue that needs further discussion. I work for a company that has some of the dumbest assed people I've ever encountered. It's one thing if they were found in the low level positions throughout the company, however, that is not the case in today's corporate world. The managers, the directors and the VP's don't have a clue themselves.
Have you ever worked for a company that will hire any old dumb ass that's available? Pay them a high assed salary? And gives them praise for a job well done? What??? I have an up close and personal view of the bullshit that's being passed off as great work.
It's bad enough that people don't even read the notes in the system, much less the correspondence sent in by both members and providers. Yes, I work in the area of mental health. It's the insurance side of this wall and I have never seen so many stupid people with degrees in one place. Almost damn everybody at work is a freakin' manager for one. If the VP of Quality Improvement gives an assignment to the Director to complete, it is them passed off to Manager, who passes the work to one of us subordinates on the bottom. You see what I mean? Work is delegated right down to the bottom, where we are overworked, overlooked, underpaid and under appreciated. If it wasn't for people like us who do the grunt work, all these people on the top would shit on themselves. And I love to see them sweat, especially when the auditors show up and they cannot find the files.
I would put the company on blast that I work for, however, I cannot do that at the moment. Nowadays, you never know who's reading what you post. Anyway, I will have more on this subject and I promise to let it all hang out. Another issue we need to bring up is the hiring of friends and family members in the workplace. Nepetism/Favoritism in the job market has been a total disaster. I understand hiring a friend or family member if they come into the job willing to learn and work. On the otherhand, if they come in to lolligag and put their hands up their asses all day everyday, it makes you wonder why there is so much incompetence on the job. And just imagine how bullshit like this is widespread throughout state/federal government, in health care, insurance and the private sector for that matter.
Don't worry, I'll be talking about more of this in the future. If your feelings were hurt in the process of reading this, then you're the type of employee that I am talking about.
