The Republican Convention

I don't know about you, but I have a strong feeling that the Republican convention is going to be a disaster. But that really don't matter because the corporate media is going downplay it with hype and hypocrisy. I find it so strange that one candidate (Sen Obama), who spoke of "change", takes Sen Biden, a Washington insider as his running mate.

And then John McCain chooses Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska as his running mate. And he was the one stressing "experience" and "leadership" and he chooses an unknown. Wow, what choice do the voters really have?

When I think back to earlier in the republican campaign, weren't all the conservatives like Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh to name a few, trying to get the voters to go against Sen McCain? Now all of a sudden, these so-called conservatives are cool with him. I remember them bashing the hell out of him.

The best thing about this is we see Satan casting out Satan. Now Gov. Palin is in the news in a negative way. It is alleged that she fired the head of public safety in Alaska because he refused to fire her brother-in-law, an Alaska state trooper because of the nasty divorce he and her sister are involved in. Then we hear the story of her 17 year old daughter has gotten pregnant out of wedlock. And Gov. Palin is all about family values?

Listening to the Black Eagle, Joe Madison this morning he talked about how the right-wing would have lit Barack Obama up if that were on of his daughters pregnant out of wedlock. Oh, how the conservatives would have said, "How can he run the country when he cannot even run his own household?" The coverage would have been intense and ferocious.

Of course, excuses are made for Gov. Palin and her "lack of being unable to run her household." Remember, she's the candidate who preaches abstinence. Anyway, observing the upcoming elections it is a no brainer that the Obama/Biden ticket should prevail, but we've gotten eight years of Bush and it would not surprise me if the McCain/Palin ticket comes through.

It does not matter who is elected. With the democrats, the destruction of America will be slow and painful. On the other hand, with the republicans, America's demise will much more swift and corrosive. Come this November, pick your poison. That's the only true choice that we have in this so-called democracy.
